Coronavirus & Us

Coronavirus & Us

What are we dealing with and how can we manage to handle the chaos and calm that is around us?

I live in Palm Bay, FL, Brevard County and we have just reached 7 cases of the virus here. Because of the wealth of knowledge and the wonderful internet, many people are freaking out because of job loses and pressure to be healthy, even though, most people ignore their health until something crazy happens. I will give you my advice in handling these crazy times.

  1. Stay Mindful! This is level-one because great stress comes from the stream of thoughts that fly through one’s mind. Calm down by focusing the eyes on a point and balancing the mind to not be swayed by thoughts and to allow yourself to exist in your body as fully as you can. Difficult but extremely beneficial.
  2. Accept all things as love! We might want to change the world, go and fight things, or be excited for things to be over. In this case, the best step would be to accept that this virus is out of our normal hands (except for simple precautions like washing hands and not getting too close to others, etc.). And if you or anyone gets it, hope that they stay conscious of the process of fighting the disease because then their mind and body will learn from the experience.
  3. Laugh at any fear in others! This might seem like a disrespectful idea, but it allows your energy to stay strong and balanced. When we assume what others are feeling, we normally embody that feeling. Just remember that YOU ARE YOU and that you can NEVER fully understand what another person is going through. So, laugh if things get hard and hold your self. This will lead to the natural healing of your body which will give you the clarity of mind to do the best you can.
  4. Continue to learn new things! It can be a blessing when we are pushed into new realities. Give yourself a treat and learn a new skill. I would suggest graphic/web development because you can do it at home and make some fun cool things. And you might just get a second job out of it.

Thanks for reading and please be safe and happy. We need the light shining all the time!

Much Love & Mindfulness,

Scott.
